USA Worries about Afghanistan Victims

A group of aid agencies has shown serious concern over the number that continues to soar from the civilian casualties at the hands of the US-led Western forces in Afghanistan. More than two dozen aid agencies said in a joint brief paper in Kabul on Friday (19/11) local time that they were worried about the increasing variety of quick fixes when foreign forces trying to pull back from war.

The group indicated concern that the handover of power to the Afghan forces were facing severe difficulties. The aid agency has also urged NATO to do more to protect civilians when the turnover of responsibility to local security forces in Afghanistan.

It also comes when the leaders of NATO member countries will meet in Lisbon on Friday. Afghanistan war is expected to dominate discussions at the summit two days. The warning came as civilian casualties continue to climb at the highest rate since the US-led invasion of that country began in 2001. Recently there are more than 150,000 US-led foreign troops stationed in Afghanistan. Human rights groups based in London, Amnesty International recently warned that the US-led forces violated international law by killing Afghan civilians without any accountability.

Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in air strikes and ground operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the last few months, with the citizens of Afghanistan are becoming more angry against the number of deadly attacks that seemed without end.

Vodafone Pulled Its Ads

Egyptian giant phone company, Vodafone, has pulled ads that depict ancient Muslim scientist, Ibn Abbas Firna, as a somber man who fell off a cliff while trying to fly with feathered wings. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin apologized for the conduct of her sister, Willow. This was done following the news that Sarah Palin named the two children was to write insults against homosexuals in the social networking site Facebook this week to criticize the critics behind their mother.

The controversy started when TMZ reported that Willow criticizing a fellow classmate on Facebook using the word “gay”, reported the New York Daily News. Willow, 16, reportedly said the comment of a student named Tre, who mocked her latest television shows and writes, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska (new show name) failed miserably this time.” Willow behind answered and called Tre “very gay” and a “homo”.

These comments also sparked anger, and even make created a Facebook group calling itself the “Willow Palin was an anti-gay and rubbish.” In the midst of anger-related comments are Willow, Bristol wrote an apology on the wall of his Facebook account.

“Willow and I should not respond to negative comments against our family. We apologize,” she wrote.

“With a better tone, thank you for supporting the competition on ‘Dancing with the Stars’!” added. Bristol Palin’s become one of the contestants in the show anyway. The apology was apparently made her re-viewed in the eyes of her fans. Her Facebook page was flooded with messages of pitched support.

iPad on New Hyundai

A Big Squid Was Found in Indian Ocean

Archaeologists in New Mexico have discovered what they believe to be a complete fossil skeleton of a Mammoth. Executive Director New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation, Calvin Smith will hold a ceremony at the Western Heritage Museum next week to introduce the findings, as reported by MSNBC. This fossil may also be kept in this museum as the unique creature that has ever been found.

Smith tells us that the discovery was a great discovery. So far, archaeologists have found the femur, tibia, fibula and spine. Calvin Smith previously had found five Mammoth fossils in the area of Lea County, New Mexico. New Nexico indeed is the source of many discovery. Recently, the experts found the old dinosaur fossil that is very unique.

But this discovery is probably the first complete fossilized skeleton. He hoped the fossils will be the main exhibit at the Western Heritage Museum. Mammoth is a species of ancient elephant, which lived about 4.8 million to 4,500 years ago.
